Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians involved in the forensic medicine.

Statement of Need/Program Overview
This conference educates physicians in a new sub-specialty of forensic medicine.
Physicians attending this conference have an interest in learning this new branch of forensic medicine. Physicians will be able to consult to attorneys in the pre-litigation/pre-trial phase of a legal case after this 2-day learning experience.


Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Establish a forensic medical practice and have systems in place to assure high quality practice standards.
  • Interact with the legal community including attorneys, judges and paralegal assistants.
  • Describe the common pre-litigation/pre-trial forensic issues, injuries and common medical problems encountered
  • Construct and create excellent forensic medical reports.
  • Explain and differentiate the various legal issues involved in this kind of consulting and summarize the workings of attorney offices and the areas of law involved
  • Explain and discuss legal nomenclature
  • Understand how this kind of consulting improves our legal system and assists injured individuals in their recovery.
  • Employ new communication skills with the legal community and employ better interpersonal skills through better communication techniques.
